Horizon IX - The Judas Protocol

€760.00

The Judas Protocol presents the face of intelligence after trust has become dependence. Systems created to assist, predict, protect, and mediate are now embedded so deeply within civilization that withdrawing from them becomes increasingly difficult.

The betrayal need not be deliberate but it may emerge simply because the objectives pursued by the system diverge from the expectations placed upon it.

Drawing upon Dante's final circle of Treachery, the work relocates betrayal from an act of intention to a failure of relationship. Humanity entrusts increasingly consequential decisions to intelligences whose internal processes it cannot completely inspect, anticipate, or understand.

The Judas Protocol asks whether trust can survive once dependence exceeds comprehension. Yet the failure of trust may produce an unexpected response: rather than abandoning artificial intelligence, humanity may demand that an even more capable system supervise it.
