I am a scientist and printmaker from Brussels, Belgium. I use printmaking as a medium to explore conceptual phrases developed as artistic, philosophical, and symbolic studies. Each phrase functions as the seed for a visual work, often minimal in form but drawing meaning from physics, cosmology, technology, psychology, history, art movements, ethics, and contemporary geopolitics.
The Core Themes that I explore within this body of work are:
Fragility vs. Power – nuclear energy, war, violence, exploitation, and the human body.
Perception & Illusion – how the mind constructs reality (quantum mechanics, Ames window, nonlocality).
Modernity & Loss of Meaning – minimalism, digitization, fame, technological futures.
Human Suffering & Moral Responsibility – Chernobyl, Holocaust memory, prostitution, violence.
Transformation & Inner States – alchemy, Jung, darkness, despair, rebirth.
Relational Reality – networks over objects (Smolin, matrix models, monads).
Art as Witness – images as moral, historical, and psychological testimony.
